This song started life over a year ago as a couple of verses and a chorus. It persisted in that form until a few days ago when I realised the amount of theatrical references it contained. Hopefully it comes across as the slightly-unstable complaints of a jilted man who is considering his options (one of which, I hope is subtly apparent, being causing physical harm to the woman in question).
I built on that and managed to complete what I have uploaded here. The title before the brackets was suggested by Dids. Actually, I asked her what to call the song and she said "I don't know," which led to the prevalance of that phrase in the song.
The bracketed part of the title is, I feel, a play on words itself as it is referring to the theatrical references in the song. It tickled me. Some people will think it's pretentious but what the hell, I like it.
The backing is mostly midi, using Evolution Sound Studio Pro and MT Studio (demo 3 track edition). The midi is enhanced with Roland VSC which improves the instruments no end. Nero wave editor was necessary to remove some of the noise from the wav. files and to clean up the guitar tracks.
It took several hours over about three days to get from where the song had been sitting to where it is now. I had to upload it quick before I started finding fault with it - remixing and changing lyrics etc. is usually fatal for me
